Torq Proto 1:1 Energy Gels

TORQ offers two carbohydrate fueling systems designed for different endurance goals. The 2:1 range is best for most athletes consuming 30–90g of carbs per hour, while the 1:1 Proto range is designed for advanced athletes targeting 120g+ per hour. Both use maltodextrin and fructose, which absorb through different pathways in the gut, improving total carbohydrate uptake.
The 2:1 system provides more glucose than fructose and is ideal for runners, cyclists, triathletes, training, and athletes newer to fueling. At 90g/hr it delivers 60g glucose and 30g fructose, which most athletes tolerate well.
The 1:1 Proto system is intended for elite or long-distance athletes aiming for very high carb intake, especially during long cycling or Ironman events. However, it may increase GI discomfort if used at lower intakes or without gut training.
Most athletes tolerate higher carb intake on the bike than on the run. The best fueling plan is one you can absorb, tolerate, and repeat consistently.
